Christmas already?

Just wanted to make a note that in order to receive Christmas cards by December 15th, your portrait session must take place no later than November 20th, 2008. 4x8 cards on professional photo paper with envelopes are $30.00 for 25 cards. I custom design each card. I don't use templates, so the set of cards that you receive is unique and designed only for your family. I also offer the same types of cards for birth announcements, thank you cards, and in celebration of other holidays. Just ask! In the next few days, I'll also be putting up photos of the photo jewelry line I offer. Those also make great holiday gifts! Here's an example of a one of a kind card design of mine. Check out my photo products page for a full list of the specialty photo items that I offer.

A man and his horse

Have I ever mentioned that I'm afraid of large livestock? Not good for a girl living in rural Oklahoma. Even though, I braved the fear of being trampled for the sake of good photography. He wanted some portraits of himself sitting atop his horse. We accomplished that, but I also captured this candid shot, and personally I like it better than any of the more formal shots we got. It's very relaxed, very real. I played around with it in the post processing stages and gave it a sepia toned Old West type of feel, which I really think fits the photo. When we finished the shoot, he made me sit on the horse, trying to conquer my fear. It didn't work...still scared!

A brother is a gift that God gave you...

These guys are from my most recent family session. Just look at that beautiful hair! These brothers are growing it out to donate it to Locks of Love in honor of their grandmother who is currently battling cancer. I've donated my hair to this charity a few times now, so it's a cause that's close to my heart as well. When their hair gets to it's final length (the minimum length accepted for donation is 10 inches) I'm going to photograph them again, before and after the haircut.

Just my kiddos

I did Liam's 7 month portraits a couple of weeks ago and I'm very happy with the way that they turned out. Now that he's teething and sticking everything he gets in his little hands into his mouth, it was a challenge to do these outdoors because for every 1 picture that I got of him smiling and looking at the camera, I got about 7 of him stuffing leaves and grass into his mouth! But with the help of hubby standing by, we got a cute little portrait. I also got something of Ashton that I like. These days it's rare to get him to hold still in front of the camera, so I take what I can get!

By the way, I just want everyone to know that my senior rep package offer ended October 3rd. Thank you so much to the reps that I have participating, but I won't be taking any more reps for this school year. The reps that I do have are awesome and hopefully they're giving their rep cards out all over their schools. The prices for all senior portraits and products are listed on my website www.photosbyliz.com/senior.html
